Project Description

Instalec worked alongside the Main Building Contractor to complete the electrical requirements of
the refurbishment of Milton Keynes Council Offices to enable a unique partnership between the
Council and the University of Bedfordshire. The Civic Centre now has the facilities to host home and international students, with courses in engineering and technology.

The works included :
• Installation of new containment systems
• Installation of small power
• Installation of lighting and Emergency Lighting
• Removal of existing electrical system
• Electrical infrastructure to facilitate Mechanical Installation
• Electrical infrastructure to facilitate Air Condition System

The project was carried out over a tight 10 week programme, which included several phases for
handover on completion. The work was completed to a high standard and on programme, so much
so, we have continued to carry out electrical works for Milton Keynes Council.

Testimonials

"Instalec were awarded the electrical refurbishment works at Saxon Ct ground floor for UCMK. Instalec in their approach to the works at both management level and site level were delivered on time and in budget, with good liaison with the main contractor and client in resolving project issues and changing requirements, given the challenging time scale and site restrictions of an occupied office building.”
